Mohammad Rizwan cleans the floor of Masjid al-Haram — Screengrab

Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan has won hearts, not for the first time, as he was seen cleaning the floor of Masjid al-Haram in Makkah during the pilgrimage on Friday.

The video of the 31-year-old cleaning the floor quickly went viral on social media where the fans appreciated and showed love to the Pakistani wicketkeeper.

It must be noted that Rizwan is accompanied by the Pakistani skipper Babar Azam along with Fakhar Zaman, Fahim Ashraf and Iftikhar Ahmed to perform the fifth pillar of Islam.

A video of Rizwan and Babar doing Tawaf of the Holy Kaaba also went viral a few days ago.

Earlier this year in Ramadan, Babar, Iftikhar, Faheem, and Haris Rauf followed by other national cricketers performed Umrah as well.

Rizwan was spotted offering Maghrib prayer while parking his car on the side during his visit to the United States of America earlier this month which sparked a mixed reaction by the common public.

While some people appreciated the Pakistani cricketer for knowing the importance of praying on time, other set of people criticised the wicketkeeper calling it a “show off.”

Pakistan will play their next international series in mid-July. They will go to Sri Lanka for playing two Tests.

Pakistan last toured Sri Lanka in July 2022 and that two-match Test series ended in a 1-1 draw. Pakistan scaled the target of 342 to register the best run chase at the ground and win the first Test by four wickets. However, the hosts bounced back in the second Test to level the series with a 246-run win.

Pakistan players will assemble in Karachi on July 3 for a camp ahead of their departure for Sri Lanka on July 9.
